For years he has offered pearls of wisdom through his music, and now Kanye West is giving fans a whole book.

During an interview for The Hollywood Reporter with designer Axel Vervoodt, the rapper revealed his plans to release a book on philosophy regarding the concept of time.

“I do believe that all time is now,” said the 40-year-old. “The future is here now, the past is here now. There’s certain people that you meet and you say, ‘Oh, you’re from the future.’ You feel this in their spirit, people who are just staying in a time where the time doesn’t celebrate who they are, and there’s other people right now who the time does celebrate, and those people end up more famous or notorious. But I’m big on connecting with timeless energy, with people and musicians that I’m around.”

The concept of “timeless energy” thus concerns Kanye about people’s obsession with photographs (did someone say Instagram and Snapchat?)

“It can be used to document, but a lot of times it overtakes [people]. People dwell too much in the memories. People always wanna hear the history of something, which is important, but I think it there’s too much of an importance put on history.”

Kanye’s book has been titled Break the Simulation.
