It’s been 9 years since we last had a Snow White remake and that seems long enough for Disney.

The fairytale about the girl with skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony, first appeared on screen in the 1937 animated version, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

In 2012, two versions of the classic story were released — Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart as the titular character, and Mirror Mirror with Lily Collins.

Disney is now planning a new live-action retelling, and while no actress has been chosen to play the princess as yet, it appears as though the picture may have found a director.

According to Variety, Marc Webb is the top choice to helm the film.

Webb is known for directing 500 Days of Summer, The Amazing Spider-Man, and several music videos.

Screenwriter for Girl on the Train, Erin Cressida Wilson, is reportedly in negotiations to pen the script, while Academy Award-winning La La Land duo, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will handle the music.

We’re sure it’ll be the fairest film of them all.
