Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming to theaters in just a month, and it seems that stakes have never been higher. Worlds collide and old villains return in the new trailer for Marvel’s latest blockbusters, which shows our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man face his biggest challenge yet.

After having his identity revealed at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) turns to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help. He tries to use magic to restore his secret identity, but the botched spell ends up breaking the multiverse open, allowing villains from alternate realities to reemerge.

Some of those villains happen to be Electro, Doctor Octopus, and Green Goblin, played by the actors from the previous Spider-Man installments – Jamie Foxx, Alfred Molina, and Willem Dafoe. Thomas Haden Church and Rhys Ifans are also expected to return as Sandman and Lizard.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will also see Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, and Marisa Tomei reprising their roles from the previous two Spider-Man movies. The film is scheduled to be released on December 17th. It marks the end of Holland’s contract with Marvel and he’s treating it as “the end of a franchise”, but he’s open to returning to the role again if asked.
