Many amazing new trailers are coming our way straight out of Comic-Con including the first promotional clip for Vampire Academy. Peacock dropped the highly-anticipated trailer for this fantasy drama series, based on Richelle Mead’s popular book series

According to its official synopsis, Vampire Academy is “set in a world of privilege and glamour, where two young women’s friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter royal vampire society”, combining the elegance of aristocratic romance and the supernatural thrills of the vampire genre.

The action centers on a royal vampire Lissa (Daniela Nieves) and her best friend and protector Rose (Sisi Stringer), as they navigate romance, class politics, and ancient magic at their boarding school for vampires. The cast also includes Kieron Moore, Andre Dae Kim, J. August Richards, Anita-Joy Uwajeh, Mia Mckenna-Bruce, Rhian Blundell, Jonetta Kaiser, and Andrew Liner.

This isn’t the first attempt to adapt Richelle Mead’s hit book series. The first Vampire Academy book was previously adapted into a 2014 film starring Zoey Deutch and Lucy Fry, but it was a huge box office bomb and received overwhelmingly negative reviews after its release.

We’re hoping Peacock managed to do it justice, but we’ll have to wait until September 15 to see it in full.
