It’s only been a year since Post Malone dropped his latest studio album Twelve Carat Toothache and its follow-up is just around the corner. The singer announced the release of his self-titled album Austin, set to hit the shelves this summer.

Post Malone is currently busy touring around Europe, but that didn’t stop him from addressing his fans and sharing some exciting news. He posted an Instagram Reel earlier this week and announced the release of his fifth studio album Austin.

“It’s been some of the funnest music, some of the most challenging and rewarding music for me, at least — trying to really push myself and really do some cool stuff. I played guitar on every song on the record, and it was a really, really fun experience,” said Post Malone.

We already got to hear one song from this album – the lead single “Chemical”, which was released last month. The second single “Mourning” will hit the shelves this Friday.

Austin will be released on July 28, a little over the year since his last studio effort Twelve Carat Toothache. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart last year and produced the singles “One Right Now” ft. The Weeknd, “Cooped Up” ft. Roddy Ricch, and “I Like You (A Happier Song)” ft. Doja Cat.
