As with all endings, the moment is usually bittersweet.

And with the current phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe coming to a conclusion, things are probably going to get hella emotional, but also incredibly epic.

Star of Avengers: Endgame, Robert Downey Jr., has told fans that the ending of the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War is the best eight minutes of the whole MCU.

The entire Infinity Saga — which spanned 22 movies — will be wrapped up on the 26th of April, while the stage for the next chapter in the superhero franchise is set.

“The last eight minutes of [Avengers: Endgame] are maybe the best eight minutes in the entire history of the whole run of them, in a way, because everyone’s involved,” Iron Man told The Upcoming.

Fans have been speculating over who will die in the forthcoming film, as the Avengers do what their name suggests and avenge those who were killed by Thanos’s snap-in Infinity War.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo have urged fans to keep spoilers to themselves once they’ve seen the film, using the hashtag #DontSpoilTheEndgame.

The end is nigh.
