Phase Five of the MCU is in full swing, and The Marvels is the latest film to hit the theatres as part of Marvel’s latest stage. Its release date is just a few days away, and Disney built up even more hype for this superhero blockbuster by dropping the final trailer.

The final trailer heavily taps into Marvel nostalgia, and it kicks off with archival footage of the Marvel heroes we all know and love—Captain America and Iron Man. As the trailer progresses, we see the main villain Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton) using a powerful hammer to tear a hole in space and create chaos.

As the trailer progresses, we watch Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) teaming up to stop her, after their powers have been mysteriously linked to each other, forcing them to switch places.

The Marvels is a direct sequel to Captain Marvel and an extension of Disney+ shows WandaVision and Ms. Marvel. It had its world premiere in Las Vegas on November 7, ahead of its theatrical release on November 10. According to Deadline’s recent report, The Marvels is expected to make a $140 million global start, with $60 million earned domestically and $80 million overseas.

Lessons in Chemistry is one of the most highly-anticipated new shows coming our way this fall, and Apple TV+ just added some more fuel to the fire! The first full trailer for this mini-series is here, and it sees Brie Larson transforming into the most unconventional TV chef that you’ll ever see.

Based on Bonnie Garmus’s best-selling novel of the same name, Lessons in Chemistry centers on an aspiring chemist Elizabeth Zott. She embarks on an unusual journey after her dream of being a scientist is put on hold in the patriarchal society of the 1950s.

“When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives — and the men who are suddenly listening — a lot more than recipes,” reads the show’s official synopsis.

Lessons in Chemistry hails from Lee Eisenberg, and its supporting cast includes Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker, Thomas Mann, Kevin Sussman, and Beau Bridges.

Lessons in Chemistry will feature a total of eight episodes, set to stream on Apple TV+ this fall. The first two episodes will be released on October 13, while the remaining six will air weekly.

Brie Larson is gearing up for her big TV comeback with Lessons in Chemistry and Apple TV+ finally gave us a first look at this show. The new teaser for this highly-anticipated series sees Larson playing a cooking show host who uses her platform in the most extraordinary way.

Lessons in Chemistry is based on Bonnie Garmus’ hit book of the same name, and it centers on an aspiring scientist Elizabeth Zott. After getting fired from her lab, Elizabeth reluctantly agrees to host a TV cooking show and uses it to educate housewives watching at home about scientific topics, while craving to return to her lab.

Most people know Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel from the MCU movies, but she actually got her big break on television. Her rise to prominence started with her role in the Showtime comedy-drama series United States of Tara before she broke into Hollywood and won the Oscar for Room.

Lessons in Chemistry will premiere on Apple TV+ later this year, with Lee Eisenberg serving as showrunner. In addition to Larson, the series will also star Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker, Thomas Mann, Kevin Sussman, and Beau Bridges.

The Marvels is one of the most exciting MCU movies coming our way this year, and its first teaser trailer is one wild ride! Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani join forces to save the day in the epic trailer for this female-led superhero blockbuster.

The Marvels serves as the sequel to Captain Marvel and it reunites us with Larson’s Carol Danvers, but she won’t be saving the world on her own this time around. Captain Marvel’s powers get entangled with those of Monica Rambeau (Parris) and Kamala Khan (Vellani), forcing them to swap places with each other every time they use them.

With the help of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, this trio must come together and join forces to figure out how to get their own powers back. The cast will also include Zawe Ashton, Park Seo-joon, and Ms. Marvel cast members Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur.

The Marvels will be released as a part of the MCU’s Phase Five, which kicked off with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania earlier this year, and it’s set to continue with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. After several major delays, this film will hit the theatres on November 10, and it’s expected to start streaming on Disney+ next year.

The Marvels is one of the most exciting new MCU movies coming our way and the first poster for this highly-anticipated ensemble project is finally here. The new poster unites three of Marvel’s biggest heroines and reveals the film’s new release date.

The new poster shows us a first glimpse at Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, and Teyonah Parris’s Monica Rambeau by each other’s side. Their costumes and symbols are incorporated into the poster, but it will take a while before we see them interact with each other properly.

The film’s tagline “Higher. Further. Faster. Together.” offers a twist on Captain Marvel’s own original tagline “Higher. Further. Faster.” Referencing this film makes total sense since Carol Danvers is the only of the three titular superheroes to actually appear in the MCU movies.

Iman Vellani led the Disney+ miniseries Ms. Marvel, while Teyonah Parris played a supporting role in WandaVision, and her character Monica Rambeau gained the ability to absorb energy, which will be further explored in The Marvels.

Shortly before unveiling the poster for this film, Marvel pushed its release date to November 10, 2023. In addition to the leading trio, the film will also star Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo-joon.

Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant, who was nominated for an Academy Award for the film, will write and executive produce the series. Also executive producing are Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan.

The series is based on the upcoming novel from Bonnie Garmus that’s set in the early 1960s and follows Elizabeth Zott (Larson), who dreams of being a scientist, but it’s put on hold in a society that thinks women should be doing domestic work. After Elizabeth finds herself pregnant, alone, and let go from her lab job, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show and teaches society more than just how to cook, while still holding onto her love of science.

Lessons in Chemistry will be the second Apple series Larson stars in. It was previously announced that she will be leading the drama series based on the real-life experience of CIA undercover operative Amaryllis Fox and her memoir, Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA

Larson’s best known for starring in films that include Captain Marvel and her Academy award-winning role in Room. Brie Larson found worldwide fame with Captain Marvel, but this wasn’t the first blockbuster that she set her eyes on. The Oscar-winning actress revealed she auditioned for several hit franchises before becoming a part of the MCU.

Larson recently launched her own YouTube channel and shared a clip titled, “So, I made a decision…” In the video, she looks back at some of her past auditions, including her failed attempt to score a role in Terminator: Genisys.

“I was actually thinking about the Terminator reboot today because I got a flat tire and I was like ‘Oh the last time I got a flat tire was when I was driving into my audition for Terminator. Got a flat tire at the audition and then didn’t get the job,” said Larson.

Terminator wasn’t the only franchise that failed to make room for the Captain Marvel star. Larson also auditioned for The Hunger Games and one of the Star Wars movies, before the MCU welcomed her into their world.

Despite all the naysayers and internet trolls trying to sabotage its success, Captain Marvel managed to fly high and become one of the most successful MCU movies to date. The studio’s first female-led film just crossed the $1 billion mark on the box office.

This movie was a long time coming and it finally hit theaters after the fans of the franchise spent an entire decade asking for a standalone movie about a female superhero. Marvel gave them what they were asking for in Brie Larson, who couldn’t wait to play this feminist icon.

“I think Captain Marvel sends out a message that’s undeniably important to the world right now. And obviously Marvel is such an incredible platform to be able to share in storytelling and probably the biggest platform in terms of movies today,” stated the Oscar-winning actress while discussing this film in the past.

At this point in time, Captain Marvel earned a total of $358.1M domestically and $644.5M at the international box office. It’s seventh MCU movie to earn over $1 billion, after The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War.

Disney and Marvel’s Captain Marvel isn’t due until next month, but so far the Brie Larson led superhero film is solidly headed toward a $100 million opening weekend, elevating it to the same level as DC’s Wonder Woman, which garnered $103 million in its first weekend back in 2017.

The $100 million estimate is a remarkable figure for a film whose main actress, Larson, isn’t a major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her only mention in the MCU came during Infinity War where she was mentioned as a ’90s era pilot called Carol Danvers.

Marvel’s films have earned great success over the years. Last year, Black Panther earned over $1 billion dollars worldwide. Infinity War doubled that amount while Ant-Man and the Wasp earned $500 million at the box office.

To reach the heights of Infinity War, Captain Marvel will have to outdo every other female-led cast superhero film before. Wonder Woman may have opened to $103 million in 2017, but it grossed just over $821 million globally.

Of course, Wonder Woman was a DC film, and DC films have been performing relatively lower than MCU franchises for a while. Captain Marvel’s story that aligns well with the MCU Universe may also help steer the film forward. Larson is also an Oscar award winner and she is joined by a team full of A-list actors and actresses.
