]]>This highly-anticipated project was filmed in October last year at the Asiad Main Stadium in Busan, South Korea. This concert was a part of the city’s World Expo 2030 bid, and it was one of the K-pop band’s last performances together before their hiatus officially kicked off.
BTS: Yet to Come will premiere on Prime Video on November 9, and it will be available in over 240 countries and territories. The film will include 19 of their biggest hits, such as “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment).”
David Simonsen, director of Prime Video Southeast Asia, said they’re thrilled to partner with HYBE and welcome BTS: Yet to Come to their streaming platform.
“We know the popularity of high-quality Korean content worldwide and we look forward to delighting consumers around the globe with BTS: Yet to Come. We are excited to see the concert movie and this genre find new audiences from different countries on Prime Video,” said Simonsen in a statement.

]]>According to the official statement released by their record label Big Hit Entertainment, “Take Two” conveys their appreciation toward their passionate fanbase known as the Army, “for all the love [they] shower them with and their desire to always be together with [them].”
The song’s title “Take Two” is supposed to reflect “the group entering its second chapter”, as they celebrate the tenth anniversary since their formation in 2013. Over the course of the past decade, they managed to become the best-selling artist in South Korean history and helped increase the popularity of K-pop music on a global scale.
BTS announced their temporary hiatus last year to complete their mandatory military service and focus on solo projects. “Take Two” saw all seven members reunite, even though Jin and J-Hope are both serving their mandatory military service at the time of its release. “Take Two” isn’t their first joint project since the hiatus—they also released a soundtrack “The Planet” for the South Korean animated series Bastions just last month.

]]>Suga previously dropped two solo mixtapes—Agust D in 2016 and D-2 in 2020—and he’s ready for the next big step. Before getting ready to complete his mandatory enlistment in the South Korean military later this year, he’ll share his first solo album with the world.
Suga will drop this LP under his alias Agust D and we can expect it to hit the shelves on April 21. He’s not the first member of BTS to release a solo album this spring – Jimin released Face on March 24 and became the highest-charting Korean soloist on the Billboard 200 when this album debuted at No. 2.
Suga will celebrate the release of D-Day by embarking on an 11-concert tour across Asia and the US. He’s also planning to release a Disney+ documentary Suga: Road to D-Day, which will take him on a “musical journey” around the world “in search of inspiration in the form of new sounds and experiences.”

]]>FACE will hit the shelves on March 24, and it’s been described as the “story of fronting his true self and making a new leap forward as an artist.” Jimin’s goal is to use this album to present his own musicality with distinct timbre and impeccable dance performance.
It was just a matter of time before Jimin started working on solo music after several members of BTS did the same. J-hope and RM recently released their debut solo albums, while Jin made waves with his debut solo single “The Astronaut”. Suga, V, and Jungkook will soon follow in their footsteps and they’re all currently working on solo material.
The announcement of Jimin’s solo album doesn’t come as a shocker for his hardcore fans, since he teased its release during a stream that he hosted on Weverse two weeks ago.
“I’m currently preparing lots of things that I can do together with you guys around that time. I’m planning lots of different kinds of things we can do to have fun together and enjoy ourselves, so I think you can safely look forward to it,” said Jimin according to Soompi.

]]>For many users, it’s the chance to see how the last 12 months spoke to them musically and to remember the moods and moments of the past year. It is also a chance for us to see which artists had the most impact on our lives.
With Taylor Swift releasing her tenth studio album, it was always expected that the “Anti-Hero” singer would dominate the Spotify charts. Shortly after the release of Midnights in October, the streaming platform announced that it had earned the title of most-streamed album in a single day on Spotify history.
The Grammy Award winner, herself, was the most-streamed female artist of the year, but not the most-listened to overall.
Claiming the top spot was Bad Bunny, who doubled his streams from 2021 with a total of 18.5 billion. The Puerto Rican rapper is no stranger to Spotify’s Wrapped as he has dominated first place for now the third year in a row. His album Un Verano Sin Ti also ranked in first place for most-streamed global albums.

]]>Back in June, BTS announced they were taking a break from working together to focus on individual projects, but they finally came together this weekend. They performed a benefit concert in Busan to support South Korea’s bid to host the World Expo in 2030.
Just when we thought they were coming back together, Jin announced he was dropping his debut solo album later this month, but it turns out there’s a reason why he’s doing it now. He’ll enlist in the military after completing promotional events for the record, and the rest of the BTS members are set to follow.
The boy band’s agency Big Hit Music confirmed they’re taking a prolonged hiatus to “carry out their military service based on their own individual plans”, but added they’re “looking forward to reconvening as a group again around 2025 following their service commitment.”
BTS’s emotional final concert drew around 50,000 people to Busan and highlighted the group’s cultural and economic impact in their home country of South Korea.

]]>Proof hit the shelves on June 10 to critical acclaim, and it features everything from the group’s biggest hits to unreleased demos and new songs. BTS celebrated its release by dropping a music video for the lead single “Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)”.
It didn’t take long for this album to climb to no. 1, and it topped the Billboard 200 with 314,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. during its first week on the chart. Album sales comprise 266,000, while SEA units comprise 36,000, and TEA units comprise 12,000.
With Proof, BTS scored the year’s biggest week for an album by a group, but it will take some time before they return to no. 1 together. The members of the K-pop band aren’t plotting any new joint projects at the moment because they’re taking an indefinite “hiatus” to focus on solo ventures.
The group has been active since 2013, and they went on to win two Grammy Awards, in addition to nine American Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards during their time together.

It also happens to be BTS’s first Korean-language single since “Life Goes On” in 2020.
In addition to looking back on the band’s past and featuring their most popular songs, including both Korean and global hits, Proof is being released as they “begin a new chapter as an artist that has been active for nine years to look back on their past endeavors”.
