]]>Fans of the Spider-Man comic book series are familiar with Madame Web, but it’s highly likely the character will look much different in the upcoming film. The comics presented her as an elderly woman with myasthenia gravis, connected to a life support system resembling a spiderweb, and she wasn’t able to actively fight villains due to her old age and health problems.
Scott is just the latest star to join Johnson in Madame Web, and the cast of this project is pretty impressive. Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, Isabela Merced, Emma Roberts, and Tahar Rahim are also set to star in mystery roles.
Scott is best known for his comedic roles in Parks and Recreation and Party Down, but he made a successful transition to drama in the past few years. He received some of the best reviews of his career with the Apple TV+ drama Severance, which came out this spring. The first season of this sci-fi mystery series received 14 nominations for Emmy Award and earned Scott his first nod for this prestigious accolade.
