According to its official logline, The Menu centers on a young couple (Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult) traveling to a coastal island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where world-famous Chef Slowik (Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises.

In the trailer, Chef Slowik promises “this menu, this guest list, this entire evening has been painstakingly planned,” but we quickly come to learn that serving picture-perfect Michelin-style dishes wasn’t the only thing that he had in mind.

The Menu was directed by Mark Mylod, who previously helmed episodes of Succession, Shameless, and Game of Thrones. It’s based on the script of Seth Reiss and Will Tracy, with Adam McKay and Betsy Koch serving as producers. In past adaptations of Dracula, Renfield was played by Dwight Frye in the 1931 film, Tom Waits in Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 version, and Roland Topor in Werner Herzog’s 1979 movie Nosferatu the Vampyre.

Hoult is known for his roles in Those Who Wish Me Dead, Dark Phoenix, and The Great.
