]]>Average Height, Average Build will center on a serial killer (Pattinson), who hires a star lobbyist (Adams) to help him get away with murder by changing the laws around them. Given McKay’s filmography so far, which includes such films as Don’t Look Up and The Big Short, we’re expecting this film to give us a satirical look at the current state of the world.
Average Height, Average Build also stars Robert Downey Jr. as a retired cop who won’t give up on the murders. He’ll be joined by the Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and Till‘s Danielle Deadwyler, while the rest of the cast will be announced before production kicks off later this year.
Adams previously starred in McKay’s Oscar-nominated political satire Vice alongside Christian Bale and received another supporting actress nod for her performance. Pattinson, who most recently starred in The Batman is a newcomer to McKay’s world, and we’ll soon get to see him in Bong Joon Ho’s next film Mickey 17.

]]>Robert Pattinson will clearly be taking no prisoners when he embodies the Dark Knight for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
The new trailer for the upcoming film, released at DC FanDome 2021, presents like a film noir. A dark, brooding tone is present, with it apparent that Reeves’ interpretation will be fairly violent.
It was announced during last year’s DC event that The Riddler would be the main villain, with Paul Dano assuming the role. He will be joined by Colin Farrell as Penguin, while Zoë Krawitz takes on Catwoman. The chemistry between her and Pattinson is clearly evident in the trailer, so expect some charged moments!
Speaking of the titular character, the Tenet stars seems to have gotten Batman’s voice down pat(tinson) based on what we’ve heard (sorry, we had to!)
This is also the youngest incarnation of Bruce Wayne that we’ve seen, and you can just feel raw frustration simmering below the surface…
All will be revealed when The Batman hits screens on March 4, 2022.

]]>The trailer, which is set to Nirvana’s “Something in the Way,” mostly features the Riddler (Paul Dano), who’s leaving deadly teasers for the Batman and Commissioner Gordon (Jeffrey Wright). We also see Robert Pattinson in the Batsuit and driving the Batmobile and a few clips of Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman.
“The hell you suppose to be?” asks the leader of white-painted face gang to the Batman in the trailer. “I’m vengeance,” Robert Pattinson’s Batman replies.
During the panel, Reeves said that The Batman won’t be an origin story, but that it will start in “Year Two” of Batman’s emergence where Batman, Catwoman, the Riddler, and the Penguin (Collin Farrell) are in the beginning stages of their development. Batman also uncovers corruption in the city and how it may tie back to the wealthy and powerful Wayne family.
The film also stars John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, and Andy Serkis.
The Batman suspended production due to COVID-19 and it’s supposed to start filming again in early September. Reeves said he’s only shot 25% of the film, which delayed the release from June to October 2021.

]]>Nolan discussed this action thriller in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly and promised it’s going to be his most ambitious film to date. “[Producer] Emma [Thomas] and I have put together a lot of large-scale productions, but this is certainly the biggest in terms of international reach. We shot in seven countries, all over the place, with a massive cast and huge set pieces.”
Nolan also revealed they’ll be crossing several different genres in this film, despite the fact it was initially described as “an action epic revolving around international espionage, time travel, and evolution.”
The first still doesn’t reveal much of the plot either, and it simply shows the leads Robert Pattinson and John David Washington hanging out together. Tenet will also star Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth Debicki and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and it will hit the theaters on July 17th, 2020.

Bale was asked how he feels about Joaquin Phoenix stepping into this role and had nothing but words for praise for the actor.
“Joaquin is one of the best actors around, you know, and obviously I worked with Heath… It’s a brave thing to follow up that performance and he always makes interesting choices. Dying to see it, I wish them the best with that,” said Christian Bale about the new Joker movie.
Oscar-winning actor also discussed Robert Pattinson’s casting in the upcoming Batman movie and described the former Twilight star as a fantastic choice for the role of the Caped Crusader, that once belonged to him.

“You do feel very powerful immediately. And it’s pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly difficult to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating. You’ve got five people trying to shove you into something,” joked Robert Pattinson.
The former Twilight actor, who reinvented his career with critically acclaimed roles in a series of indie movies, also admitted he was furious after the news of his casting leaked online. He was scared of losing the role following the initial backlash, but everything worked out fine and we’re actually excited to see his take on Batman.

]]>The Lighthouse, by Robert Eggers, has been described as a “dark fantasy horror” and had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this past weekend.
Starring the Twilight actor alongside Willem Dafoe, the film chronicles two men who slip into madness while tending to a remote lighthouse.
If that sounds intense, it has nothing on the actual filming, according to Pattinson.
“I’ve never rehearsed like I rehearsed with Robert before,” Pattinson said at the film’s first screening.”
So much so, apparently, that the one-week rehearsal was remembered by the 33-year-old as three.
“It was kind of nice to have that pressure cooker of an environment,” Pattinson continued. “We were just in a little room in a hotel in Halifax and there’s something about being contained in there, and not really showing anything, [that] built up pressure for the shoot. That was kind of an interesting environment to work in.”
Filming eventually took place in Canada where the gruelling weather conditions also added to the intensity.
The Lighthouse earned a standing ovation at Cannes but does not have a wide release date as yet.
