]]>In the first look at the show’s second season, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aiden (John Corbett) are strolling through Manhattan, hand in hand. After several failed attempts to make their relationship work, they’re ready to give it another try.
Many fans expected Aidan to make an appearance during the show’s first season, but executive producer Michael Patrick King felt it was unnecessary because Carrie was already dealing with too much.
“We wanted to get her through [Big’s death] and into the light—the last episode is called, ‘Seeing the Light.’ We wanted to get her out. [Aidan’s return] is a big storyline that everybody at home wrote that we had never intended,” he told Deadline.
In addition to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) also returned in And Just Like That… while Samantha isn’t featured in the series after Kim Cattrall refused to get involved. The second season still doesn’t have a release date, but it will most likely premiere on HBO Max later this year.

]]>Heartfelt tributes have poured in following the death of Sex and the City star Willie Garson.
The actor played Carrie’s best friend Stanford throughout all six seasons of the award-winning show and is set to reprise his role in the forthcoming revival And Just Like That…
The sad news was announced by Garson’s 19-year-old son who confirmed that his father, who was battling pancreatic cancer, had passed away at age 57 following a short illness.
The late actor’s SATC co-stars have eulogized him on social media, with Kim Cattrall (Samantha), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), Mario Cantone (Anthony), and Evan Handler (Harry) expressing their condolences, as well as the series creator, Michael Patrick King.
Garson’s friendship with SJP translated off-screen, too, as the pair had initially been set up on a blind date 20 years before Sex and the City was created.
Rest in peace, Stanny. We’re raising a cosmo in your honor.

]]>Our SATC wishes came true in January when it was confirmed that Carrie and the girls would be joining the long list of TV series that had been revived. Although Samantha would not be joining them due to behind-the-scenes drama involving Kim Cattrall, the rest of the ladies we love would be returning to our screens in the fall.
The 10-episode series, titled And Just Like That…, will follow the lives of Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they navigate their 50s as opposed to their 30s. One of the big (ahem) questions is whether Ms. Bradshaw and her beau lived happily ever after, and the new teaser has given us our first indication…
During the clip which premiered during the 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth could be seen dancing around the kitchen and sharing a loving kiss.
But, of course, what would Carrie’s life be without a little drama to shake it all up?
We have our Manolos ready for when And Just Like That… hits HBO Max.

Darren Star’s Sex and the City aired on HBO from 1998 through 2004 and it followed a group of friends living in New York City. The show had 94 episodes and spawned two films.
