Less than a year ago, the band released their latest album Humanz after six years of silence. The cross-genre album divided fans, receiving high praise from some and disappointment from others.

Damon Albarn describes the new “summer” album, The Now Now, as “something nice to play everyone” during his summer tour dates.

“I sing on it, it’s pretty much just me singing,” he said. “It’s very in the world of 2D, but he’s come out and he’s singing very expressively. I feel good about it. I feel really, really good about it.”

The full tracklist is as follows:

Humility
Tranz
Hollywood (feat. Snoop Dogg and Jamie Principle)
Kansas
Sorcererz
Idaho
Lake Zurich
Magic City
Fire Flies
One Percent
Souk Eye

“Humility” and “Lake Zurich” are the first tracks to be released from the record. “Lake Zurich” features trippy visuals and a very danceable beat. “Humility” on the other hand, is definitely a track for summer vibes and seems to have a similar feel to Gorillaz’ earlier albums.

The album will be released on June 29th.
