The Wheel of Time is one of the most anticipated shows that Amazon has in development right now, and they’ve got us more hyped than ever for this project. They recently announced the list of five new cast members set to join Rosamund Pike in this promising series.

The list of young actors joining Oscar-nominated star includes Josha Stradowski as Rand al’Thor, Marcus Rutherford as Perrin Aybara, Zoë Robins as Nynaeve al’Meara, Barney Harris as Mat Cauthon, and Madeleine Madden as Egwene al’Vere. They are mostly newcomers, with only a couple credits to their name, but this series is set to catapult them into stardom.

The Wheel of Time is based on Robert Jordan’s series of bestselling fantasy books of the same name, and it tells the story of Moiraine, a member of the powerful, all-woman organization called the Aes Sedai. She goes on a journey across the world with five young people, determined to find out if one of them is the reincarnation of a person prophesied to save or destroy humanity.

The Wheel of Time was adapted for television by Rafe Judkins, with Uta Briesewitz serving as a director of the first two episodes. Production is set to start later this year, but the release date is yet to be set.
