Anna Kendrick Lands Lead Role in Crime Thriller “Unsound”

Anna Kendrick is constantly impressing us with her acting range, and her next project will see her tackling another demanding new role. The Oscar-nominated actress has been cast as the lead in the upcoming crime thriller Unsound.

According to its official logline, this movie tells the story of a New England state trooper who’s tasked to investigating the prison break of a notorious gang leader while struggling with irreversible hearing loss. She uncovers a vast conspiracy while trying to crack the most dangerous case she ever faced, which threatens to end her career – and her life.

Matthew Ross and Christopher Edwards were in charge of penning this project, set to be directed by Bharat Nalluri. Unsound will be looking for buyers at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival, with XYZ and CAA Media Finance handling the sales.

Anna Kendrick is next set to appear in fantasy comedy Noelle, which sees her playing Santa’s daughter trying to take over the family business. She’s also attached to movies Dummy and Stowaway, and TV series Love Life.
