Rocker Rob Zombie has made movies in the past but we must admit this new idea sounds weirdly appealing. The notion that Zombie should make a remake to The Sound of Music has come up and the former president of the Screen Actors Guild Ed Asner took to social media and expressed his support of the idea.
Asner has responded to a Twitter challenge entitled: “A movie you’d like to see Rob Zombie remake, no matter how insane.” He admitted he had to look up who Rob Zombie was before he answered but was confident in his answer: The Sound of Music. The idea got praises from Zombie’s fans and we’ll have to wait and see if the social media will do its thing and start rolling the snowball that will end in the idea actually come to life.
Zombie became famous with his band White Zombie in 1990, with the band getting a boost on MTV’s Beaves and Butthead. After the band disbanded, he went on with a solo career and also began to make movies as a writer and director. Among his films you can find: House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects.
