Ted Lasso is one of the best feel-good shows to premiere in recent years, but its ending might be near. Its star and co-creator Jason Sudeikis recently described the upcoming third season of the beloved comedy series as “the end of this story we wanted to tell.”

Sudeikis recently set down with Deadline and discussed what the future holds for Ted Lasso, hinting that Season 3 might just as well be its last.

“This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell. The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond more than what they don’t even know yet – that being Season 3 – it’s flattering,” said Sudeikis.

The Emmy-winning actor didn’t confirm or deny that Ted Lasso is ending, adding that he’ll know what to do next once the fans get to see the third season. He also added that he’s open to the idea of Ted Lasso spinoffs focusing on other characters, saying it’s lovely to see that people want more, “even if it’s a different avenue.”

Season 3 of Ted Lasso will return to Apple Tv+ on March 15, and it will feature a total of 12 episodes streaming weekly.
