Netflix Pulls the Plug on “Insatiable” After Two Seasons

Debby Ryan in "Insatiable"

If you enjoyed the dark revenge comedy Insatiable, we’ve got some bad news for you. Netflix apparently lost its appetite for this teen show and decided to cancel it after two seasons on the air.

The official logline describes Insatiable as a tale of “a bullied teenager [who] turns to beauty pageants as a way to exact her revenge, with the help of a disgraced coach who soon realizes he’s in over his head.” This premise made it one of Netflix’s most polarizing shows, but bad reviews didn’t stop it from getting a second season.

The future of Insatiable was uncertain for a few months, but Alyssa Milano revealed they won’t be coming back for a third season. Once Netflix confirmed the cancelation of the show, she took a moment to thank the fans who watched the series and kept coming back for more.

In addition to Milano, Insatiable also starred Debby Ryan, Dallas Roberts, Christopher Gorham, and Sarah Colonna. It was created by Lauren Gussis, who drew inspiration from The New York Times article “The Pageant King of Alabama” by Jeff Chu.
