The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is one of the most exciting new films coming our way this fall, and the new trailer promises one wild, nerve-wracking adventure. Rachel Zegler is fighting for survival alongside Tom Blyth in Lionsgate’s latest trailer for The Hunger Games prequel.

The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is based on Suzanne Collins’ book of the same name, initially published back in May. This prequel is set in the same universe as her best-selling The Hunger Games novel, and it takes place decades before Coriolanus Snow became the tyrannical President of Panem.

The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes centers on the young Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth), who’s the only hope for his once once-proud family after their fall from grace in a post-war Capitol. After being reluctantly assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), a tribute from the impoverished District 12, they must do everything in their power to shift their fates and turn the odds in their favor.

In addition to the leading duo, the star-studded cast of The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes will also include Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Jason Schwartzman, and Viola Davis. The highly-anticipated prequel will be released on November 17 by Lionsgate Films.
