“Superman & Lois” Trailer Shows Clark Kent as a Dad

Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch in "Superman & Lois"

Family is the main theme in the new trailer for the CW’s upcoming series Superman & Lois.

Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch play the titular roles on the show that depicts what Superman’s life is like for the comic book couple in Smallville. The trailer shows fragments of Clark and Lois’s married life in Smallville with everything from the birth of their first child to raising two teenage sons, Jonathan Kent (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan Kent (Alexander Garfin).

“We all begin as one version of ourself, but as we grow life changes us,” says Hoechlin’s Clark Kent. “Every moment shaping our character, shifting our priorities, stretching every fiber of our being until we think we’ve lost ourselves to the stress of it all. But that’s not true because under the torn fibers is a strong person, forged like steel, with the courage to fight for those we love.”

The series, produced by Greg Berlanti, is a spinoff of Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event from December 2019. Berlanti introduced Hoechlin’s Superman in The CW series Supergirl. Also starring in the series are Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarrette, Dylan Walsh, and Wolé Parks.

Superman & Lois will premiere on the CW on February 23. Check out the trailer below.
