]]>Appearing at FAN EXPO Canada, Fraser was asked whether there will be another Mummy movie in the future. He answered, “for me? Do you want one?” When the crowd cheered, he added, “did you hear that, Universal?”.
The actor then expressed feigned surprise when told about the failure of Universal’s reboot attempt (“Oh, they did?”) and confirmed enthusiastically that he will “absolutely” sign on for a reboot if approached.
“Just gotta say, I know how hard it is to make that movie,” Fraser added. “I tried to do it three times, and the essential ingredient is fun. You gotta remember to have fun. So if there’s a fun way to approach it again, I’m all in,” he said.
In regards to his co-star from the first two films Rachel Weisz, Fraser had nothing but praise. “Working with Rachel, it’s Rachel f’in Weisz. She’s wonderful, you know if you’re really impressed with talent and good humor. A belly laugh that could break a window.”

]]>After years and years of waiting, Scarlett Johansson’s Marvel character will finally get to headline her own movie.
But it seems she won’t be doing it solo.
According to Rachel Weisz, who also stars, there will be more than one “Black Widow”.
It appears as though the name will be the title given to an assassin such as Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff and Weisz’s own Melina.
“There are quite a number. I’m a Black Widow and there’s Scarlett and Florence [Pugh]. There’s quite a bit of other characters you’ll also meet that are Black Widows,” she told IGN.
Pugh will be playing Yelena and has described the story as sensitive, raw, and honest.
Jac Schaeffer of The Hustle has penned the screenplay which will be helmed by Lore director, Cate Shortland.
Black Widow is out on May 1st, 2020.

]]>The thriller is an adaptation of Max Porter’s novel of the same name. The novel, which was optioned by Rachel Weisz, it the follow-up to the author’s Grief Is A Thing With Wings.
The book, which was published this month, was optioned by the Oscar-winning actress alongside The Bureau and BBC Films. It tells the story of a boy who goes missing from a village outside of London.
Per the book’s blurb: “There’s a village sixty miles outside London. It’s no different from many other villages in England: one pub, one church, red-brick cottages, council cottages and a few bigger houses dotted about… This village belongs to the people who live in it and to the people who lived in it hundreds of years ago… But it also belongs to Dead Papa Toothwort, a figure schoolchildren used to draw green and leafy, choked by tendrils growing out of his mouth. Dead Papa Toothwort is awake. He is listening to this twenty-first-century village, to his English symphony. He is listening, intently, for a mischievous, enchanting boy whose parents have recently made the village their home. Lanny.
“With such a peerless combination of talent involved this was an easy decision to make,” said agent Lesley Thorne at Aitken Alexander Associates. “We can’t wait to see how they realize Max’s unique storytelling onscreen.”
