]]>Brown discussed the final season of Stranger Things in a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily and said she’s ready to let go of Eleven after spending most of her teenage years playing this character.
“It’s been such a huge factor in part of my life, but it’s like graduating high school, it’s like senior year. You’re ready to go and blossom and flourish and you’re grateful for the time you’ve had, but it’s time to create your own message and live your own life,” said Brown.
Since Stranger Things premiered in 2016, Brown built a pretty successful career outside of this series. She played the titular role in two Enola Holmes films, starred in the Godzilla franchise, launched her own beauty brand Florence by Mills, and became the youngest person to ever be appointed as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things still doesn’t have a release date in sight since the ongoing Hollywood strikes have stalled production. The Duffer Brothers are also developing an animated series set in the same universe.

]]>Stranger Things became one of Netflix’s signature series since its premiere in 2016. It centers on residents of the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, who are under constant threat of paranormal activities from an alternate dimension known as the Upside Down.
Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer said they’ve always dreamed of an animated Stranger Things in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons, and it’s absolutely thrilling to see their dream come true.
“We couldn’t be more blown away by what Eric Robles and his team have come up with — the scripts and artwork are incredible, and we can’t wait to share more with you! The adventure continues,” the duo said in a statement.
The Duffer Brothers will produce the series via Upside Down Pictures, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps, and Eric Robles of Flying Bark Productions. They’re plotting several more projects in the Stranger Things universe, including a stage play and a live-action spinoff.

]]>British GQ claimed that the show went back to retroactively change some of the scenes in the article, “Netflix retroactively editing Stranger Things is the beginning of a dangerous TV trend”. The article was based on the internet rumor that the scene that shows Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) photographing Nancy (Natalia Dyer) without her knowledge has been removed from the most recent edits.
Stranger Things writers denied the rumor by tweeting, “PSA: no scenes from previous seasons have ever been cut or re-edited. And they never will be.” GQ later issued a correction, and Stranger Things writers tweeted that “it’s hilarious that an article bashing the show for retroactively editing a scene (based on a false TikTok rumor) has now had to retroactively edit their own article.”
To be fair, the Duffer Brothers were partially responsible for starting these rumors after admitting they’d forgotten Will’s birthday. They said they’ll change his birthday by re-editing the scenes and suggested they’ve done it before by saying, “We have George Lucas’d things also that people don’t know about.”

]]>Like many of us, the “Say So” singer was smitten with Eddie Munson during the fourth season of the Netflix hit. So much so, that she reached out to Noah, who plays Will Byers on the show, and asked him for some romantic intervention as far as Joseph Quinn was concerned.
“Noah can u tell Joseph to [hit me up]. wait no. does he have a gf?” Doja asked in a private message to Noah on Instagram. The 17-year-old actor responded by telling the Grammy winner to slide into Quinn’s DMs on Twitter or Instagram.
“idk his ig or twitter. He doesn’t have a DM to slide in,” was her reply.
If you’re wondering how we know all this, it’s because Schnapp shared the conversation in a video that he posted on TikTok. And Doja is mad.
“The fact that this person, that Noah did that, went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably socially unaware, and wack,” the 26-year-old said in a live TikTok session. She acknowledged that Schnapp’s age and inexperience probably played a role, but did not refrain from expressing her anger at the teenager.
Let’s hope this situation can be turned Upside Down.

]]>The post The Duffer Brothers Tease “Stranger Things” Spin-Off appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>Stranger Things is gearing up for its final stretch, but the creators of the Netflix hit have revealed that at least one spin-off is in the works. Plans, so far, are so secretive that not even the streaming service knows what the new series will be about!
What Matt and Ross Duffer have disclosed, however, is that it will be “1000% different” from the original.
“I’ve read these rumors that there’s gonna be an Eleven spinoff, that there’s gonna be a Steve and Dustin spinoff or that it’s another number,” said the brothers. “That’s not interesting to me because we’ve done all that. We’ve spent I don’t know how many hours exploring all of that. So it’s very different.”
The creators are remaining tight-lipped, though apparently Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike, managed to figure out their idea.
“We think everyone — including Netflix — will be surprised when they hear the concept because it’s very, very different. But somehow Finn Wolfhard — who is one crazy smart kid — correctly guessed what it was going to be about. But aside from Finn, no one else knows!”
On the chance that the spin-off will revolve around Hopper before his time as the Hawkins Chief of Police, David Harbour has picked Euphoria actor, Jacob Elordi, to play his character’s younger self.
“He could pull off being as handsome as I was at 20,” Harbour remarked. “At this point, I think Hopper is a character that can exist independent of me. If they wanna go back in time, forward in time… I’d love to see another actor play Hopper, and see what they can bring to it…”
With Season 4 of Stranger Things having just been released and Season 5 yet to be filmed, there’s plenty of time for us to speculate as to what the Duffers have up their sleeves.

]]>For weeks, fans of the sci-fi series analyzed every scene and let their theories run wild as they waited for the second half of Season 4. So, it was only natural that the release of the final two episodes would create a stir that resonated all the way to the Upside Down.
The streaming service crashed on July 1 as millions of users tuned in to see whether Eleven and her friends would defeat Vecna. The overwhelming traffic left the site inaccessible, with more than 13,000 issues reported.
Although Volume II may be the shiny new kid on the block, the first part of season four has landed Stranger Things amongst the Nielsen ratings.
The audience measurement system has been tracking the most-watched television shows in the United States since the 1950s. Nielsen began including a weekly Top 10 list for streaming networks in 2020, with no streaming show having ever accumulated 6 billion minutes of viewing time in a single week.
Until now.
According to the latest data, Stranger Things saw a total of 7.2 billion minutes of viewing time between May 30 and June 5, setting a new record. Volume I also holds the record for the streaming series with the most hours watched in a weekend premiere with 286.79 million.
Take that, Vecna.

]]>The trailer opens with Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) warning Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) of the dangers ahead, urging her to stay put because this is one fight that she can’t win.
“I know you’re frightened. You’re terribly frightened by what you’ve seen. But I’m not gonna lie to you. Your friends are not prepared for this fight. Hawkins will fall.”
As the trailer proceeds, it gives us glimpses of other beloved cast members, including Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), among others.
The stakes are higher than ever in this new chapter, and Robin perfectly sums up how everyone feels when she tells Steve, “I have a terrible feeling it might not work out for us this time.” Vecna is their biggest enemy now, and Will (Noah Schnapp) warns Mike (Finn Wolfhard) that he “won’t stop until he’s taken everyone.”
Stranger Things 4: Volume 2 will feature just two episodes, set to premiere on Netflix on July 1.

]]>Fortunately, streaming services have mostly put that agonizing wait to bed and allowed our binge-watching desires to run wild! After all, it’s already tough enough to have to wait one to two years for new seasons.
Fans of Stranger Things thankfully don’t have to wait that long between the first and second volumes of Season 4, with Part 2 due out next month. There was a rumor, however, that episodes of the fifth and final season would be dropped on a weekly basis. Shudder.
You’ll be pleased to know, then, that no such thing is taking place and you can lay back as the tiny icon stating “next episode in…” will still be popping up on your screen!
“For the fans of Stranger Things, this is how they’ve been watching that show, and I think to change that on them would be disappointing,” said Netflix’s head of scripted series for U.S. and Canada, Peter Friedlander, of the binge-watching format. “To not give them exactly what they’ve been expecting — which is Stranger Things is a seasonal experience, they go through that with them — I think that it would be an abrupt change for the member.”
The current structure is clearly working as the recently released fourth season of the Duffer Brothers’ series has become Netflix’s third most popular English-language TV season ever.
