]]>Self-Portrait will center on a grieving photographer Lu Rile (McKenzie) who forms a strong bond with an accomplished painter Katherine (Kravitz) after moving to a run-down artists’ warehouse in 1990s Brooklyn.
They find themselves haunted by a demonic force hellbent on shaking their realities after Lu unknowingly captures Katherine’s tragic loss in one of her self-portraits, generating a striking but unsettling image that changes the course of their intensifying relationship.
This film draws inspiration from Rachel Lyon’s debut novel Self-Portrait with Boy, and it will start filming later this year. Mona Fastvold (The World To Come) co-wrote the script for this project alongside Brady Corbet (Vox Lux), and she’s coming on board as a director.

As for McKenzie, her star has been on the rise since she got her big break with Leave No Trace, and she’ll next appear in Eileen alongside Anne Hathaway.

]]>Robert Pattinson will clearly be taking no prisoners when he embodies the Dark Knight for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
The new trailer for the upcoming film, released at DC FanDome 2021, presents like a film noir. A dark, brooding tone is present, with it apparent that Reeves’ interpretation will be fairly violent.
It was announced during last year’s DC event that The Riddler would be the main villain, with Paul Dano assuming the role. He will be joined by Colin Farrell as Penguin, while Zoë Krawitz takes on Catwoman. The chemistry between her and Pattinson is clearly evident in the trailer, so expect some charged moments!
Speaking of the titular character, the Tenet stars seems to have gotten Batman’s voice down pat(tinson) based on what we’ve heard (sorry, we had to!)
This is also the youngest incarnation of Bruce Wayne that we’ve seen, and you can just feel raw frustration simmering below the surface…
All will be revealed when The Batman hits screens on March 4, 2022.

The colorful visual for this song shows Monáe waking up on a rooftop after a crazy night with a group of friends, running away after spotting a security drone, and ending up in an underground party. They are also shown watching footage of current social issues before one of the characters is taken away by masked security officers.
Tessa Thompson already appeared in a couple of Monáe’s videos so it isn’t a surprise to see her come back again. This video also featurs a cameo from Zoë Kravitz, who also provided guest vocals on this track.
