The Suicide Squad trailer has been leaked online early.

According to director James Gunn, some of the cast members released the trailer online earlier than expected. The trailer was released on YouTube with the title “The Suicide Squad – Early Access Trailer Do Not Share.”

In the film, the squad recruited by Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), has a mission to destroy a Nazi-era prison and laboratory. During their mission, they face some obstacles including a telepathic, skyscraper-tall starfish named Starro.

Gunn has previously stated that his take on the DC supervillains will be different, but it won’t destroy the foundation David Ayer made in 2016’s Suicide Squad. Many stars from the first film will be returning including Margot Robbie, Davis, Jai Courtney, and Joel Kinnaman. Joining the film are John Cena, Idris Elba, David Dastmalchian, Alice Braga, Daniela Melchior, Nathan Fillion, Mayling Ng, Michael Rooker, Pete Davidson, Peter Capaldi, Sean Gunn, John Ostrander, Taika Watiti, and Flula Borg.

The Suicide Squad will be released on August 6 in theaters and on HBO Max for 30 days. Check out the trailer below.
