We’ve watched Thor face countless obstacles during his time in the MCU and we’re always willing to join him on another adventure. He’s set to embark on an epic journey in Thor: Love and Thunder, and the first trailer showed us what he’ll be up against.

While the beat of Guns N’ Roses’ iconic song “Sweet Child o’ Mine” plays in the background, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) reveals what his future has in store. He’s certain that his “superheroing days are over”, and that his hands are “but humble tools for peace” after the harrowing events of Avengers: Endgame.

Destiny has different plans for him, and he must join forces with some of his former allies to defeat another major super-villain. The God Butcher (Christian Bale) wants to put a stop to all gods, but he can’t do it while Thor and his gang stand in his way.

The new trailer features the first appearance of Mjolnir-wielding Jane Foster aka The Might Thor, played by Natalie Portman. The rest of the cast includes Tessa Thompson, Jeff Goldblum, and the ensemble of Guardians of the Galaxy, starting with Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, and Karen Gillan.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released on July 8, and you can watch the trailer right here!
