Streaming service Disney+ will officially launch this fall, and Loki series starring Tom Hiddleston is one of the most exciting projects they have in store. There’s a lot of secrecy surrounding this show, but the actor behind Marvel’s most beloved villain recently discussed his challenging journey.

Hiddleston set down with MTV News’s Josh Horowitz and talked about everything from his Broadway debut to returning to the role of the god of mischief for Disney+.

“There’s a sense of ‘I know this character now, I feel the audience knows him.’ Playing him, and playing him truthfully, but presenting him with new challenges which then have to change him in different ways is the most exciting aspect of [doing the series],” said the MCU star.

Tom Hiddleston also mentioned he’ll spend about six hours playing Loki on this show, which means we can expect a total of either six or twelve episodes. He also promised it will be humorous in tone since it has Rick and Morty writer Michael Waldron serving as showrunner.

Loki series still doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s expected to premiere in early 2021.
