]]>Rumors about the show’s potential cancelation recently started circulating on the internet, and HBO’s representatives decided to address them head-on.
“HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season. In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities,” reads HBO’s official statement to Deadline.
The network remains committed to delivering Season 3 in 2025, but the future of the hit teen drama remains murky. Deadline reports that its creator Sam Levinson is still finalizing the script and it remains unclear when the production will kick off.
Many Euphoria stars moved on to other projects since the show’s second season in 2022. Zendaya appeared in the Dune franchise and will soon lead Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers, Jacob Elordi starred in last year’s Saltburn and Priscilla, Sydney Sweeney led Reality, Anyone but You, and Immaculate, while Hunter Schafer landed roles in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Cuckoo, and Kinds of Kindness.
Euphoria also stars Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Eric Dane, Nika King, Storm Reid, and Colman Domingo. Barbie Ferreira announced her departure ahead of Season 3, while Angus Cloud tragically passed away last year.

]]>Bloys held a presentation on Thursday in New York City and shared significant insights into HBO’s upcoming programming. Most notably, the third season of the Emmy-winning anthology series The White Lotus won’t make its debut until 2025, but it won’t be the only one facing a significant delay.
Fans of Euphoria will also have to wait a considerable wait for the third season of this teen drama, which caused major concern because its main cast will significantly age out of their roles. The horror series Welcome to Derry, inspired by Stephen King’s IT, also won’t premiere before 2025.
There are still some glimmers of hope amid all the uncertainty, with House of the Dragon making a return this summer, and the press was even treated to an exclusive teaser trailer. The Last of Us will start shooting in early 2024 and is also eyeing a 2025 release date, while And Just Like That… has returned to the writers’ room for Season 3.

]]>Euphoria has become one of HBO’s most talked-about shows in recent memory since its premiere in 2019. This coming-of-age series centers on a group of teens trying to find their way in the world while struggling to strike the balance between love, loss, and pain.
Season 3 of Euphoria is currently in the making, but its release date remains a mystery in the face of the ongoing strikes in Hollywood. Even though we’ll have to wait for a while until the third season sees the light of day, Levinson knows exactly where the story will go.
Levinson discussed the upcoming season in Zendaya’s cover story for Elle and compared it to a film noir. He also revealed that the main character Rue will “explore what it means to be an individual with principles in a corrupt world.”
In addition to winning two Emmy Awards for her work in Euphoria, Zendaya also starred in Levinson’s 2021 film Malcolm & Marie. He had nothing but words for praise for her in the Elle interview, and said that “she’s constantly growing as an artist and always seeking a challenge.”

]]>The post Hollywood Bids Farewell to “Euphoria” Star Angus Cloud, Who Died at 25 appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>Cloud was found dead at his family’s home in Oakland, California, where he was staying after returning from his father’s funeral in Ireland. The actor’s family said he was trying to overcome grief after losing his father, who was his best friend.
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone,” said Cloud’s family in a statement to TMZ.
Cloud was never interested in acting before being scouted by Euphoria’s casting director on the streets of New York. He initially thought the whole thing was a scam, but eventually agreed to audition and won everyone’s heart in the role of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill. He also appeared in the movies North Hollywood and The Line, and music videos by Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, Becky G, and Karol G.

]]>The post Season 3 of “Euphoria” Could Feature a Five-Year Time Jump appeared first on EverydayKoala.
]]>Nothing is official just yet because it all comes down to the creator Sam Levinson and his vision, but it’s possible we’ll catch up with our favorite characters five years into the future once Euphoria comes back.
“I’m really excited to read the scripts. There is talk of it being approximately five years in the future, and that they’re not in high school anymore… Knowing Sam’s brain, it’s gonna be exciting, and he will challenge all of us, because he won’t want to repeat himself,” Heidi Bivens told Vogue.
Even though Euphoria primarily focuses on a group of teenagers dealing with love and loss in the fictional town of East Highland, California, a time jump would make sense in the grand scheme of things. Euphoria was often criticized for its exaggerated portrayal of Gen-Z, and viewers pointed out that some of the storylines would make more sense if the characters were older.
Bivens also revealed that Season 3 will most likely kick off production in June in Los Angeles, after a lengthy delay due to Sam Levinson’s commitment to the HBO show The Idol.

]]>Ferreira announced her departure from the HBO series on Instagram, saying that she’s ready to say “a very teary-eyed goodbye” to her special and enigmatic character.
“I hope many of you could see yourself in her like I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today. I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you Katherine Hernandez,” wrote Ferreira.
Kat was introduced in Season 1 of Euphoria, as the best friend of Maddie (Alexa Demie) and Cassie (Sydney Sweeney). The first season focused on her journey of self-love and empowerment as she looks for a way to feel comfortable and confident in her body.
Ferreira’s screen time was significantly reduced in Season 2 and the show received criticism for the way it handled the character’s arc. Fans believed this was caused by on-set tension between Ferreira and creator Sam Levinson, but the actress denied these rumors.

]]>The HBO show, based on an Israeli series of the same name, has regularly topped viewership charts as audiences tune in to follow the scandalous lives of high school students in the fictional Southern California community of East Highland.
Zendaya’s performance as Rue Bennett has earned her both critical and fan praise, as well as an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Series. With the show having been renewed for a third season, the Dune star, who also serves as executive producer, says she’d like to see what the characters are like outside of high school.
“I want to see what Rue looks like in her sobriety journey, how chaotic that might look,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “But also with all the characters, in the sense where they’re trying to figure out what to do with their lives when high school is over and what kind of people they want to be.”
Season two of Euphoria picked up 16 nominations at the 2022 Primetime Emmys, with Zendaya expected to win again for Best Actress. It has been revealed, however, that the 25-year-old actress was not the first choice for the role of Rue.
According to Euphoria casting director, Jennifer Venditti, the lead almost went to an unknown actress with a similar background to Rue, but producers were unsure whether she would handle the emotional pressure of such a heavy role.

According to the series official logline, 17-year-old Rue must find hope while balancing the pressures of love, loss, and addiction amidst the intertwining lives in the town of East Highland.
In addition to Zendaya and Jules, Season 2 will also star several more returning cast members including Sydney Sweeney as Cassie, Jacob Elordi as Nate, Maude Apatow as Lexi, Alexa Demie as Maddy, Barbie Ferreira as Kat, Storm Reid as Gia, among others.
The production on Season 2 was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the masterminds behind Euphoria surprised fans with two Christmas specials last holiday season. The new season will premiere on HBO on January 9, 2022.

]]>The trailer opens with Rue walking into a meeting with a suitcase in hand and she doesn’t let go of it as the trailer continues. Her addiction is still raging, and so is her infatuation with Jules, even after they went their separate ways at the end of Season 1.
