Thornton will lead the series in the role of Tommy Norris, a crisis manager for the oil company, and he’ll be joined by Hamm as Monty Miller, a titan of the Texas oil industry who has a long personal and professional relationship with Norris.
Demi Moore is also among the latest stars to join the cast, and her character has been described as the wife to one of the most powerful oilmen in Texas. The supporting cast will also include James Jordan (Yellowstone), Michelle Randolph (1923), Ali Larter (The Rookie), Jacob Lofland (Maze Runner), Mark Collie (Nashville), Paulina Chávez (The Long Game), and Kayla Wallace (When Calls the Heart).
Landman is currently filming in and around Fort Worth, Texas, and it hails from creators, writers, and executive producers Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace.

Your Friends and Neighbors is the latest series developed as a part of Tropper’s overall deal with Apple TV+. He previously served as the showrunner of the streamer’s sci-fi series See starring Jason Momoa, and will executive produce this series alongside Hamm and Connie Tavel.
Your Friends and Neighbors marks Hamm’s second collaboration with Apple TV+, following The Morning Show earlier this year. He portrayed a shady tech billionaire Paul Marks in the third season of this acclaimed drama alongside Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
Hamm also played one of the key roles in Good Omens and Fargo throughout 2023, and will next appear in the musical remake of Mean Girls in January.

“Those decisions get made at such a high level at this point, definitely above my pay grade. I would love to. I’ve been a fan of Marvel Comics and comics in general since I was probably single digits. I think there are tons of stories that I’m familiar with, that are still out there to be told,” said Hamm.
Hamm singled out The X-Men and Fantastic Four as two of the franchises he’d like to join, mentioning Doctor Doom as one of the characters he could see himself playing.
Even if he doesn’t receive a call from Marvel, Hamm’s schedule will stay pretty packed. Just this year, he starred in the hit series The Morning Show and Fargo, and we’ll soon see him in the musical remake of the 2000s teen classic Mean Girls.

The beloved Indianapolis radio reporter was thrust into the middle of a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker, Tony Kiritsis, demanded to be interviewed on his news program.
Hamm voiced Heckman in the podcast that this series is based on, and he’ll reprise the role in its live-action adaptation. He’ll also serve as one of the executive producers, alongside its scribes Shawn Ryan and Eileen Myers. They’ll be joined by Shawn Christensen and Gabriel Mason, who executive produced the original podcast, along with Connie Tavel and Ryan’s MiddKid partner Marney Hochman.
2023 has been a pretty busy year for Jon Hamm even before he landed the lead role in American Hostage. Fargo was developed for FX by Noah Hawley, and it’s loosely based on Joel and Ethan Coen’s 1996 Oscar-winning cult classic of the same name. Both the film and the show take place in the same fictional universe, with each season chronicling the lives of different characters in a new era and location.

In addition to Harbour, Del Toro, Hamm, and Cheadle, the star-studded cast of this project also includes Amy Seimetz (Upstream Color), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Brendan Fraser (The Mummy), Noah Jupe (Honey Boy), and Julia Fox (Uncut Gems).
The project started shooting on-location in Detroit under strict COVID-19 safety protocols. Soderbergh said he’s “very excited behind [his] mask right now” because things worked out really well the last time he shot a movie in Detroit with a great script and a great cast.

]]>During his recent appearance on Graham Bensinger’s In Depth, Jon Hamm was asked by Bensinger about rumors that he is interested in playing Batman. While Hamm explained that he was never offered the role, he admitted he was intrigued by the idea.
“It depends…on the script, what the story is,” he told Bensinger. “I am a huge comic book fan, always have been…it depends on the story. It all comes down to the story.”
After Bensinger pressed him a bit more, Jon Hamm decided to offer an answer that will get the DC fans excited.
“I’d probably fit the suit. I’d have to work out a lot, which I don’t love,” – the 47-year-old actor said. “I am sure there’s an interesting version of that being out there and if they wanted to tap me on the shoulder and ask me to do it, why not?”
