Season 3 will mark the last time we see Henry Cavill in the role of Geralt of Rivia after he announced his exit in October last year. “Henry is an extraordinary Geralt and I think Liam will continue and also be an extraordinary Geralt. There has been a legacy of amazing, iconic characters where the actors have changed and we’re hugely optimistic about this,” Friedlander told Variety.
Season 3 of The Witcher will be divided into two parts, with the first five episodes streaming on June 29. We’ll have to wait until July 27 to see the final three episodes.

“It’s the most heroic sendoff that we could have, even though it wasn’t written to be that. Geralt has a new mission in mind when we come back to him in season 4. He’s a slightly different Geralt than we expected. Now, by the way, that’s an understatement,” said Hissrich.
Back in late October, Cavill announced his exit from the series in a lengthy statement and passed the mental to Liam Hemsworth. Cavill will bid his farewell to the iconic role in Season 3, while Hemsworth is set to take over when The Witcher returns for Season 4.
Many believed Cavill left the show to return as Superman, but he recently parted ways with this character amid the ongoing DCU shakeup. Shortly after confirming he won’t return as Superman, he landed the lead role in Amazon’s Warhammer series.
