The first official trailer sees Wade Wilson trying to recruit Wolverine to help him save the MCU after being pulled from the peaceful life in his timeline by the Time Variance Authority, a mysterious organization from Loki, committed to keeping the “Sacred Timeline” in check.

Deadpool & Wolverine will feature several familiar faces from the previous Deadpool movies, including Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Brianna Hildebrand. Jennifer Garner will join them as Elektra, along with Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova and Matthew Macfadyen as Paradox.

This film will mark Jackman’s first appearance as Wolverine since Logan, which was initially intended as his final film as this character. He previously starred alongside Ryan Reynolds in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The leading duo will play estranged brothers who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks and later went in the opposite direction. Reynolds’s character becomes a cop, who’s forced to track down his low-level criminal brother (Tatum) after he finds himself in trouble following a diamond heist gone wrong.

Warner Bros. won the rights for this project after an intense bidding war, beating Amazon and Netflix. Tatum’s Free Association and Reynolds’ Maximum Effort are among the producers, along with Nee’s Persons Attempting, Kevin J. Walsh, and Free Association’s Reid Carolin and Peter Kiernan. The budget has been estimated at $140 million, with the stars reportedly making approximately $25 million.
