“I’ve received some scripts now for the second season, and we’re definitely leaning into a little bit more horror. It’s really, really exciting because all throughout the show [Wednesday] never really changes and that’s what’s wonderful about her,” said Ortega.

She also added that the upcoming season will be more action-packed and that each episode will “feel a little bit more like a movie.” The second season will still heavily lean into comedy, and Ortega said there are “some really good one-liners” in the script.

Netflix is now reportedly plotting a spin-off series about Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen. Bloomberg also reports that Netflix is eying two spinoffs of the acclaimed crime drama Peaky Blinders, which ran for six seasons on BBC before ending its run in 2022.

While the original series was set in Birmingham in the aftermath of the First World War, one of the spin-offs would take us to 20th-century Boston. The second spin-off set in the Peaky Blinders universe would center on Polly, the matriarch of the Shelby family, played by the late Helen McCrory in the original series.
